KTO Project CD #2 update!
Summer has been so good to me! Along with having some time to slow down, reflect, relax, refocus and recommit my life’s work, journey and goals, I have been writing songs for my next recording! Next steps are pre-production-working out the arrangements and getting ready for the studio in the fall.

And let me take this time to say how much I appreciate all your support, well wishes, showing up to gigs, classes and just letting me share my life as a musician with all of you! Thank you so much for the privilege to of your attention and appreciation of my calling as an artist!

   — Many blessings, Kelly Takunda Orphan Martinez (KTOM)

“Kelly Takunda Orphan has a delicious blend of traditional and contemporary ingredients in her work. She’s so satisfying.”
     — Keith Terry, Crosspulse.

kelly takunda orphan"Kelly Takunda Orphan has been on a long and wondrous musical journey beginning with her Armenian roots to the percussion driven music of West Africa, Zimbabwe and the Caribbean. This, her first recording, reveals a rare breed of musician who carefully and respectfully fuses together music of disparate cultures. The vocals are warm and lush-the rhythm tracks will make you want to dance!"

Linda Tillery
  singer, percussionist,
  cultural historian

....and on a personal note....Some of you have been emailing me, asking what's been happening, why The KTO Project hasn't been performing recently. Well, to answer that question, check out the following website: www.orphanmartinez.shutterfly.com
